Common questions

How thick a desk will it clamp to?
Desks and tables up to 2.4" (61 mm) thick.

Will my microphone fit?
It has a US 5/8" thread and supports 3/8" Euro threads, which covers most microphones and mic clips and shock mounts.

How heavy a microphone can it hold?
Gator rates it at around 2 lb (about 1 kg). That covers most USB and dynamic podcast mics; very heavy broadcast mics may need a heavy-duty arm.

Does it manage the cable?
Yes. Clips along the arm keep your XLR or USB cable tidy.

Does it use springs?
No. It uses locking knobs to hold the angle, which keeps the profile slim and avoids spring noise.
